Why I Waited With Bated Breath for Kajabi's Newsletter Product
When I first heard that Kajabi was releasing a Newsletter Product a la Substack and Beehiiv, my stomach gave a little lurch. Not in a bad way, but rather the opposite. Finally, another tool in the toolbox for Kajabiaans who choose storytelling as their marketing weapon of choice.
Did the Product Release Meet My Expectations?
Yes, it did, and I'll tell you why. It wasn't because Newsletter came out of the starting gate with all the bells and whistles one could imagine. No, I was impressed because Newsletters was a Beta release that wasn't too beta-like. Usually, I avoid beta features like the plague. However, after playing around with the Newsletter product I was suitably impressed.
Not everyone in the Kajabi world was impressed, though. And that's OK because there is no one-size-fits-all group of features that suits every online business. You should consider what products are strategic fits, and what products may be a distraction. After all, you don't want to waste valuable time on features that don't add any value to your business, do you?

It's a 3-Trick Pony
Kajabi Newsletters not only is a Product, but it also has a related website page (like a blog page but with much better styling options). The newsletter page can be set as your website Home page. This is a great feature for those of you just starting with Kajabi: get the Newsletter page set up and start list-building while you work on crafting your first Offer!
Newsletter Posts Stay Up Front and Center
Unlike traditional email broadcast newsletters, Newsletter Posts don't just disappear in your subscriber's email box. Posts can be published on your Newsletter home page, sort of like an archive. Your subscribers can search through your posts for their favorites.
